24/7 Emergency Service

You can reach us 24/7 on our emergency telephone number. Our expert employees can be available on-site within a few hours to secure your object/s. Together we will determine where the artwork or collection should be taken for (temporary) storage, or whether further treatment is required.

In the event of an emergency, Art Salvage can perform the following three steps for you:

1. Rescue: securing the affected objects to prevent further damage.

2. Inventory: preparing condition reports per object, and a treatment plan.

3. Re-conditioning: treating the damaged objects.

We can respond to both small- and large-scale calamities. In the event of major disasters, we can have certain services performed by external parties for the short term. Some examples are freezing, freeze-drying, gamma radiation and (climate-controlled) storage.

In the event of a calamity agreement, our clients will have access to our 24/7 emergency telephone and an annual appointment with our conservation advisors. The contracts are offered at four levels, according to your budget and wishes. From level 2, our team will also help you fill in the checklist that best determines the needs of your collection.

Level 1:

Price:    Euro 25,- per year (excl. VAT)

Level 2:

Price:    Euro 100,- per year (excl. VAT)

  • Filling in a general checklist together 
  • Assessment of existing calamities plan

Level 3:

Price:    Euro 450,- per year (excl. VAT)

Content:

• 24/7 calamities service 
• Competing a general checklist together with Art Salvage staff
• Assessment of existing calamities plan 
• Annual visit to establish the current situation including reporting 
• One-time basic calamities kit (at the start of the of the first contract) 
• Annual check on expiry date (including replacement) 
• Annual content check of the calamities kit (excluding replacement) 
• Free setup of IPM (Integrated Pest Management) OR 6 months placement of data loggers in a room of your choice
• 5% discount on our services

Level 4:

Price:    Euro 950,- per year (excl. VAT)

Content:

• One-time extended version of the calamities kit (at the start of the of the first contract) 
• Annual check on expiry date (including replacement)
